I am alive

I've been alone a long time,
In the shadows,
Always stuck in my art,
Barley living,
Alive,
But nearly dead,
And even through it all,
I knew I will only manifest strength,
And then it struck like lightning,
I'm never truly alone,
I have me, myself, and my pride.
That is all I need to continue a life of thrill, so from here on out,
I will affirm to myself,
       I am alive.
